Reza Kasnavi is a venture partner at Tallwood Venture Capital where he focuses on semiconductor and optical technologies for telecommunications.
Prior to joining Tallwood, Reza co-founded Concur Communications, which aimed at developing IC’s for wireless communications. He has held short-term appointments at Agilent Technologies and IBM Microelectronics where he worked on bipolar and MOS technologies for wireless communications and microprocessor applications. Reza has also worked as a collaborative researcher at the Stanford Genome Center, developing high throughput chip technologies for DNA sequencing. Reza has authored 10 journal and symposia articles and 1 U.S. patent (pending)
Reza holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and a Masters and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He won a Bronze Medal in the 22nd International Physics Olympiad and ranked first in the Iranian National Physics Olympiad in the same year.
