Dr. Ladan Behnia launched Mitratech in 1987 and positioned the company as the market leader in providing integrated, collaborative solutions in legal matter management. In 1998, Dr. Behnia extended the company’s vision to encompass risk management, claims administration and comparative negligence. She conceived of the Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management Triangle and foresaw the growing demand for integrated products to manage these core operations effectively. She led the company’s direction into new markets by introducing adjacent process automation solutions and forging alliances with consulting and technology industry leaders.
Dr. Behnia is the primary innovator and the leading expert on application software for the legal industry. In 1980, she pioneered the development of the legal application. In 1981, she joined California Informatics Professional as Vice President and Manager of System Development and Customer Service. In 1985, she was the lead management consultant, architect, and developer of software for Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Behnia was educated abroad and holds E.E. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Arya Mehr University of Technology in Tehran, Post Graduate degrees in Information Systems from the University of Grenoble, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Paris.
