Manouchehr (Fred) Ameri is the Senior Vice President of RBF Consulting, a planning and civil engineering consulting firm. RBF Consulting (RBF) is one of the most respected firms in the nation for civil engineering providing services to both public and private sector clients, nationally and internationally.
Ameri serves as the Vice Chairman of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana Region. He was originally appointed by Governor Pete Wilson and reappointed by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2005. From 2004 through 2005, Ameri served as the Chairmanof the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the World Affairs Council, Orange County Chapter.
Ameri is a member of the Central Committee of the Republican Party of Orange County. He was sworn in at the Central Committee’s meeting in August of 2006 and reappointed in 2009.
Ameri is very active and well-known member of the Iranian American Community in California. A resident of Orange County since 1960, Ameri has an exceptional understanding of the issues of Iranian and other immigrant communities face in the United States. He is presently very active in encouraging this significant segment of California’s ethnic population to participate in the political process and their assimilation into our society.
