Amir’s love of all things design started thirty years ago in pre-school with a crayon on the walls of his nursery. A passion for drawing outside the lines eventually led him to the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, where he steeped these natural inclinations in the discipline of design. His first professional experience came as a Technical Director on the feature film and television series South Park where he spent over four years bringing irreverent humor to the big and small screen. His fascination with the technology behind movie-making eventually led him to New York University.
At NYU, he studied in the program in Interactive Telecommunications exploring the intersection of video, fine-art and interactivity leaving prematurely (Hey! Bill Gates did it) to pursue an opportunity at Microsoft where he is currently a Senior User Experience Designer working with top-tier clients to bring branded web experiences to millions of users and where he continues to tap into old instincts to push boundaries in the name of innovation.
Besides bridging the gap between two icons of geek pop-culture (Cartmen and Clippy) and navigating careers on both coasts, he brings to his current role over ten years of experience in branding and advertising, visual-design, motion-graphics, illustration, and storytelling. He currently lives in Seattle with a Chihuahua named Flea.
