ramin sohrabAt a young age of 23 Ramin Sohrab is already an accomplished martial artist globally.  He has amazed audiences in countless performances all over the world. Anyone who has seen him perform will recognize that there are only a handful of people who are able to perform the moves he is capable of. Ramin is the founder of the unique Art Wushu style of martial arts which is particularly well-suited for providing visually stunning elements in film, theater and stage productions. Currently, Ramin is making a transition to focus on motion picture productions.

Ramin’s career began when he was only 4 years of age. His first trainer and mentor was his father, Alireza Sohrab, who at the time was already a well-known martial artist with a very popular martial arts school attended by thousands of students and widely employed in Persian motion picture productions. The advanced skills of Ramin’s father stem from personal training directly from the great Wushu masters while living at the Shaolin Temple in China for five years.

As a small child, Ramin did not receive advanced training from his father. He was also brought into the Motion Picture Industry. He appeared in several movies, on TV and performed in shows all over the Middle East. At the age of eight, Ramin moved to his mother’s home country Finland. He continued training under his father’s supervision and they also began to instruct others together. All this time, Ramin continued to actively perform in public.

At the age of twelve, Ramin and his father went to Los Angeles. He had the opportunity to spend some six months developing his acting skills together with celebrated artists such as actress Shohreh Agdashloo (‘24’, ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ etc) and her husband Houshang Touzi. He also toured for three months with a local Iranian theater ensemble and received private lessons in choreography from the world’s arguably most well-known Iranian dance artist Mohammad Hordadian.

During the past years Ramin has continued honing his acting skills and focus on building his career in the motion picture industry. His ambition is to initially become a leading actor in action films and eventually move into other genres.

He has had the will-power and tenacity to hone his physique and skills for ninenteen years. Some of his world-class skills are the ability to run eight steps on a wall without support, perform eight kicks in the air during a back flip from standing still, five front kicks during a jump running in the air, five aerials (cartwheels sideways without using hands) in less than three seconds, leap over fifteen lined-up crouching people, do 58 cartwheels in one minute, turn three full rotations (1 080 degrees) jumping straight in the air from standing still and making a back flip in less than 0.37 seconds.

But Ramin’s exceptional physical abilities are not what make him a great actor and an incredible martial artist.  His bright personality, his true passion and zeal for the art and his humble genuine heart are some of the very few traits and attributes most directors find unmatched in any other artist they work with.
