Farzad Nazem (in Persian: فرزاد ناظم) (born in 1962) also known as Zod Nazem, was Yahoo!‘s chief technology officer and one of its longest-serving executives. He announced that he would leave the company on June 8, 2007 after 11 years at Yahoo. He will receive a golden parachute worth about $6.9 million. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the California Polytechnic State University.

Farzad Nazem – also known as Zod Nazem was born in 1962 in Tehran. In 1979 when he was 17 years – he started at Alborz highschool. He later left Iran in 1982. In 1983 he started with matematic at California Polytechnic State University.

1986 – only 24 years old – he holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University. In same year he started at Oracle.

In 1988 he become vice president of Oracle Corporation’s Media and Web Server Division. In 1992 went to SYDIS, Inc. as Sientific expert.

In early 1996 he started as senior vice president of engineering and surfing at Yahoo.com and was named chief technical officer and product developer in January 1997.

At 8 june 2007 afte 11 years at Yahoo. He received a golden parachute worth about $6.9 million. Nazem has more than 18 years of experience in executive and technical positions.
